Gunnar Sverrisson / Home and Delicious
I will try to translate this and turn the recipe into a useful one for all of you not in Iceland. We are talking about skyr, a special diary in Iceland, that can be bougt actually in many countries and some countries have something similar. It’s close to Greek-yogurt in consistency but in the recipe the skyr is with strawberry flavour. That´s why you have to get the strawberry flavour somehow in the yogurt. Maybe by process some fresh strawberries or from a can in a food processor and stir in the yogurt to combine, taste by your choice, before you start working on the recipe itself. But I truly recommend you’ll try this, as it’s a fresh desert that can be enjoyed all day long! Supervision Thelma Þorbergsdóttir.
8-10 Oreo-bicuits
500 g strawberry skyr / Greek yogurt
½ l cream
fresh strawberries
70 g dark chocolate
2 tbsp syrup
20 g butter
Remove the frosting from the biscuits (eat!) and cut it down. Put around 2 tbsp in each glass. Whip 250 ml of the cream and combine to the skyr (yogurt). Put the mixture in each glass, on top of the Oreo. Whip the rest of the cream and put on top of the skyr in each glass. Melt the chocolate, butter and syrup, it should be thick in consitency. Put on top of the cream and serve with fresh strawberries.
