design: out of this world



I came upon this remarkable artwork on my daily browse on the internet. This amazing project was a collaboration between the belgian architects Pieterjan Gijss and Arnout Van Vaerenbergh. The project is called Reading between the lines and is a 10 meter high seethrough church based on the design of the local church in Limburg, Belgium (where it stands). The project is based on the concept of transforming the traditional church into a transparent object of art. Read more on gijsvanvaerenbergh.com.
